Alan Dumoff, JD, MSW has practiced law since 1988 with a special focus on the legal needs of integrative physicians and complementary and alternative (CAM) practitioners. Valerie Washburn, Director of Client Services
Valerie Washburn is the Director of Client Services at the Michael H. Cohen Law Group. In this non-legal role, Ms. Washburn oversees all marketing activities and facilitates client communications with legal counsel, striving to enhance the client intake and follow-up experience, and to develop long-term relationships with the firm’s clients. Ms. Washburn has a particular interest in developing the firm’s international clientele.
Ms. Washburn graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College, with a B.A. in East Asian Studies. After Harvard, she studied at the Beijing Film Academy as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar in China.
She received her J.D. from Yale Law School, where she was an editor of the Yale Law Journal and received the Edgar M. Cullen Prize (awarded to the best paper by a first-year law student). Following Yale, she practiced law at several prominent San Francisco, California, law firms, working in the areas of real estate finance and transactions, leasing, and hospitality, and served as a law clerk to Judge A. Wallace Tashima on the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Ms. Washburn also has an M.A. in Chinese Literature from Columbia University and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. |
